Helios, 194' luxury yachts, refit Helios, 194' luxury yachts, refit:
Working in close coordination with HF Interiors, a Swedish-based interior fabrication firm, Knight & Carver completed an extensive refit to this 194’ Oceanco. The yacht’s once-classic European styling was replaced with a far more glamorous, sexy look. As Captain Tommy Gurr put it: “It’s a floating beach house, totally chic, edgy and contemporary.” As many as 100 full-time workers were assigned to the six-month interior refit. Delivered February 2008.
Empress, excursion cruise ship, refit Empress, excursion cruise ship, refit:
Knight & Carver’s crews collaborated with Hornblower Cruises to transform Empress, a 222’ former Mississippi casino vessel in need of extensive repairs, into a sleek, comtemporary-styled, state-of-the-art excursion ship. The ship was renamed Inspiration and made available for San Diego Bay cruises, concerts and corporate events to accommodate as many as 1,200 guests. Delivered November 2006.
M80 Stiletto, military vessel, new build M80 Stiletto, military vessel, new build:
The M80 Stiletto, sized 80’ x 40,’ is high-speed, innovative vessel built for the U.S. Defense Department’s Office of Force Transformation. With its patented “Double M” hull, the craft is the largest carbon-fiber vessel ever built. It is currently undergoing extensive tests by the U.S. Navy at North Island Naval Base on San Diego Bay. Both the builder and the designer are San Diego-based companies. Delivered February 2006
Princess Pauline, yacht, refit Princess Pauline, yacht, refit:
This was a $1.5 million major refit of a 83 ft luxury yacht, the latest in a series of extensive refits performed by the San Diego repair/refit facility. At the owner’s request, the yacht’s entire interior was gutted, replaced by an inviting, contemporary look. In the Main Salon, Princess Pauline’s most eye-catching element is her exquisite cherry wood cabinetry, conveying a sophisticated elegance with flowing lines and stylish decor´. The project has been featured in Yachting, Sea and soon in Power & Motoryacht magazines. Delivered January 2006
